~Palace Hills by S. Briones Lim~ Contemporary Romance/New Adult GUEST POST

About the Book:

Palace Hills. The very name struck shivers down the spine of the affluent city of Goldendale.

Unfortunately, eighteen-year-old Nina Sharman has no choice but to call the poverty-stricken neighborhood her new home.

Life seems bleak until a chance meeting with Conner Hale changes her mind and captures her heart, leading her to believe that maybe Palace Hills wasn’t so bad after all.

However, one tragic case of mistaken identity changes everything and leads to an event so horrifying that Nina believes she could never recover.

Choosing to leave Conner behind, Nina vows never to return to Palace Hills again.

Five years later, Nina has a new home, a new boyfriend and a new life. Yet, still haunted by the ghosts of her past, Nina finds she must return to Palace Hills to put an end to a nightmare, which has haunted her for years.

Upon her return, one vital slip in judgement threatens to bring the life she had worked so hard to build to come crashing down.

These Are a Few of My Favorite…Authors
Have you ever read a book that just causes your whole world to stop spinning? The kind that grips every single part of you, from the synapses of your brain all the way to the little hang nail on your toe? (Yeah, that was gross. Sorry about that.) That’s the feeling I get whenever I read any book from my favorite authors.
In my opinion, the best books are the kind that has you debating on whether sleep is a necessity or not. They’re the kind that stick with you even after you’ve read them and the kind that makes you feel as if you miss actual human beings as soon as you read the final page.
I have quite a few favorite books, so I can’t really hone it down and pinpoint which ones are the “best” since I think all books deserve to be in some “best of” category. Thus, let me tell you about some of my favorite authors.
Jennifer L. Armentrout – Besides loving Theo James as much as I do (we even own the Four dolls!), she is a phenomenal writer. From the moment I read the first page of OBSIDIAN I was reeled in, committed and Team Daemon all the way! He has that sweet, bad boy quality to him that you can’t help but fall in love with. Not to mention, this book is an alien romance! How awesome is that? Jennifer does such a wonderful job eliciting every single emotion under the rainbow in her writing and I can’t help but finish her books within hours of 1-clicking them.
Jamie McGuire—Travis Maddox. Need I say more? He is definitely my favorite of the Maddox brothers (so far) and Jamie painted his picture so beautifully in BEAUTIFUL DISASTER. The hot and cold love story between Abby and Travis definitely kept me turning the pages, obsessed with trying to find out if they end up together. Though I won’t spoil anything I will say, I am so happy for all the spinoffs coming out!
Tammara  Webber – OMG, Landon/Lucas I love you so much! If I was able to pick a book boyfriend, he would be it. He’s so charming and well-mannered…I just can’t. EASY was actually one of the first New Adult books I’ve ever read and is what reeled me into the genre. Tammara did an A+ job of capturing all of Jacqueline’s emotions so that I felt them. Easy is probably one of my most favorite books ever and one I often reread. Can I just say the release of Breakable made my heart very happy.
What can I say? I’m a bookworm and a sucker for romance. Throw a romance novel in my direction and I’ll be sure to read it at least once.
