Bout of Books: Intentions

Bout of Books Read-a-Thon

The Bout of Books read-a-thon is organized by Amanda @ On a Book Bender and Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal.  It is a week long read-a-thon that begins 12:01am Monday, August 13th and runs through Sunday, August 19th in whatever time zone you are in.  Bout of Books is low-pressure, and the only reading competition is between you and your usual number of books read in a week.  There are challenges, giveaways, and a grand prize, but all of these are completely optional.  For all Bout of Books 5.0 information and updates, be sure to visit the Bout of Books blog. -From the Bout of Books 5.0 team

Standard info:

  • Bout of Books is a week long read-a-thon, run from 12:01am on Monday, August 13th through 11:59pm Sunday, August 19th in whatever time zone you are in.
  • Bout of Books is low pressure, meaning participants are only asked to push themselves to read more than they normally would during any given week. There is no competition between readers.
  • How much time a reader wants, and can commit, to read, tweet, or network with fellow bloggers is left to individual preference. All challenges and giveaways are optional.
  • Networking with fellow bloggers is actively encouraged, though never required. Co-hosts are there to facilitate blog hopping and interaction between participants.
  • Use Twitter to post updates throughout the read-a-thon. Everyone will be tweeting with the #boutofbooks hashtag.

  2. I haven't read any Rhiannon Frater, but I intend to ;) Good luck with your goals and have fun ;)

  3. You have a good list - I haven't read these books. I hope you enjoy them and have a great week :)

  4. Good luck this week! I need to read more in the Ender series too, I've only read Ender's Game so far but was really impressed by it. See you around Twitter!

  5. Hope you like Pretty When She Dies. It was my first horror-ish book. Very Raw, but I liked it.

  6. Well, another read-a-thon for us addicts! Awesome! Good luck with your reading this week. I didn't know you were reading along with Wolf Hall and Cider House. Cool! So, what do you think so far?
