A Bookish December

I know I know, I come and then I go and then I come back and then I go again. Lately I've been contemplating the future of this blog. Should I keep it or should I let it die? I'm not ready to say goodbye to Much Read Faster, so that leaves me with no other choice but to keep on chugging. My reading has fallen into a slump of sorts, but I've been making it a daily priority and I'm feeling that sluggish bookworm start to wake up again!

I'm dangling the carrot in front of it to get it ready to chow down on some yummy papery delights this month..

My goals for December are to gobble up 10 books. That's a doable amount I think.

I won't make a TBR stack but I have a few in mind.

Currently I'm reading these two:

So those are my starting books for the month.

I'm also thinking about doing a couple of my own personal readathons this month too. I have Wednesdays and Fridays off work, so I might just pick on of those days each week to read all day if I can? We shall see how that goes. I'm finding myself less and less attracted to doomscrolling and aimless watching of things and more drawn to my books and kindle, so I'm going to take from one bad distraction and feed a much better one.

What are you planning this month? Do you have any goals to finish up the year? Drop me some recommendations for books that you are reading or excited about!

This Week's TBR (UPDATED)

Hoping to continue with my reading momentum from last week, I am going to aim a bit medium-ish for this one! I've got a few books on my TBR for this week and hopefully I'll get through them!

They goes as such:

According to Goodreads I'm a few behind, so I'm really hoping to at least catch up! Sunday-Thursday I'll be trying to read as much as my eyes and brain can handle. Friday-Sunday I will be distracted, my son is going to be over here and it's the weekend before his birthday so I will be celebrating!

What are ya'll reading?

UPDATED:
Because I am the way that I am and my book ADD kicked in hard, I actually started

The Hunger Games (book 1) as a re-read. After my two HG related books, I wanted to go back to the main series.

Weekly TBR Plans

Okay so I have had a pit in my reading heart where the Empyrean Series once was, I finished all three books and have had such a book hangover!

HOWEVER...after sulking for about a day and enjoying many many posts on Reddit about the books, and tons of silly memes..I feel better. I've started on a new book and while there are no dragons to be found...it's still been a fun one.

Also my work schedule this week is pretty light so plenty of spare time to read! I have a "my eyes are bigger than my stomach" kind of reading week planned for me. Let me show you what I mean!

Behold! My TBR for this week:

SEE! I have already made it halfway through Girl In The Creek, it's been a strange (but attention grabbing) ride so far. Murderland and The Lost Queen are both ARC's and the rest are all kindle books.

Let's see how I do!

What are you reading?

Sorry, I know I'm tardy to the party but I LOVE Read-a-thons! (Duh, man that's obvious, right?!) Since this is a week long one I will post my list. I'm going to try to read some of my shorter books. Here is the list:
  • The Lovers
  • Damaged-READING
  • Beatrice and Virgil
  • Daughters of the Witching Hill
  • Freaks and Revelations-FINISHED
There..I think that's a do-able list. Since I have a few other books that I'm reading. (Check out the Monday book meme)
