Blog Tour-Day By Day Armageddon

Okay, as previously stated in my last post, I am a HUGE horror freak! I LOVE a good scary story, but what I failed to mention was that I love love love Zombies! So needless to say I was a giddy little girl when I heard about this one! J.L. Bourne is seriously gonna give George A. Romero a run for his money! As I read this one I had several "wow this should be a movie" instances. Really if they don't make this one into a flick I will be shocked beyond belief! They wouldn't even really have to tweak it much because Bourne has really set it up very well. The plot goes very quickly and the action is intense!

The book reads like a journal with each page dated and sometimes illustrated with pictures, either hand drawn by the main character or photos. There are smudges on the pages that make give it the "feel" of a real journal. (I thought that was a terrific touch!" The only problem I had was that in keeping with the "real journal" feel, they left in a lot of typos and occasionally a missing word. I know what they were trying to do in leaving them but it was really distracting. I'm not sure if anyone else feels the same way but that was definitely a minus point for the book. (Kinda the only gripe I had actually)

The ending, which is awesome, sets us up for a sequel. (yay!) I am seriously excited to hear that as I really enjoyed this book! I had contemplated setting up a giveaway for my copy but I don't really want to let go of this book! This is going on my shelf!

To read more about this book and the author check out THIS WEBSITE which includes updates about the sequel set to release in February!!!

  1. Great review of the book! You're right... the ending is a great set up for a sequel.
